Makeup for an audition

What makeup should you wear to an audition

Everyone knows auditions can be nerve-wracking but the point is to shock directors with your talents, not with your wardrobe and make up. Remember at an audition, less is more. If you’re an aspiring model this can be very important. Don’t on pile on the makeup before an audition. The judges want to see your natural beauty and be able to imagine what makeup would look like on you. In the beginning you’ll have to ensure you have the correct materials and all the resources you need to achieve a natural appearance. Using a natural foundation should be at the top of your priority list. This particular natural-type of look is all about having a fresh face for your audition. Using a very light coverage foundation or sheer foundation makeup will help you accomplish this.

Next, you need to pick a natural lipstick color.  Remember what looks natural for one person may not look natural for somebody else.  This means you have to examine what shade of natural lip color will work with your skin color type.  The point is to shift focus away from your lips and to have them remain neutral.  If you want to add some glow or shine that is fine, but don’t overdo it.  For your eyeliner, stick with taupe, champagne, or shades of brown. You’re targeting neutral tones here. And they do not all have to be matte. If you want, there can also be a shade of pink here or there but once again, but don’t overdo it. You also want to make sure that you have all the brushes you need because your makeup is only going to be as good as your brushes are. After you have gathered all the perfect makeup necessities for your audition, you will then need to figure out what to wear to an audition, if you haven’t already.
